Decription
Going toward the promontory of Capo Colonna, there are localities of great geological, scenic and cultural interest and one of them is the geo-paleontological area of Vrica and Stuni, which was born 1.81 million years ago and in which there are many traces and evidences of life from that period. It is a site of worldwide scientific interest
The route involves accessing this site through two points:
- from Via per Capocolonna
- from Corso Mazzini (near the “Sandro Pertini” institute of higher education).
