Description
Opened in 2002, it is located within the same park, on a single level. The structure is divided into three exhibition pavilions: the Earth, which houses artifacts discovered during the period of Roman rule; the Sacred, dedicated to the relics of the sacred area of the Sanctuary; and the Sea, which displays underwater finds.
Among the most valuable finds are a 5th-century bronze Corinthian helmet, a stone anchor stock engraved with a dedication from Phayllos, one of Crotone's most famous athletes, to Zeus Meilichios (honey-sweet, benevolent), and a small marble sculpture depicting Cupid and Psyche, found in the waters off the Crotone coast.
